Rain Rain....

No concrete pouring only rain coming down in Atlanta today so no action at the house.  But the rain has me thinking about water and our master bathroom.  I ordered this great cabinet from Restoration Hardware  around the first of February.

It was on back order due to be delivered in early April which was fine with the construction schedule.  Of course I got a phone call in late March advising me it would be around May 5 before it was delivered - again that was OK.  About a week later they called to notify me it would be late May.....the delays have me  wondering will this great cabinet show up? The cabinet that my architect based the master bath design around..... Should I be shopping new cabinets???

My First Post

So, here I am starting my own blog.  I am the CEO, CFO, Laundry Godess, Travel Agent and all around handy person of our family, which includes my husband Todd, son Reed, daughter Collette and one very lazy Shi Tzu known as Leo. We also have gold fish, know in our house as "the 4 fish who won't die".   I love great design, art and architecture.  I have always wanted to be one of those people who think up the names for paint swatches! I am going to start this blog adventure by documenting our house remodel.  This is the second time we have done a major remodel.  I am one of those sick people who enjoys remodeling.....maybe I will be a contractor in my next life.

So we bought this 1950"s ranch (very different from our previous cottage style).  It is on a great lot and has "good bones" as they say.  I am so excited about this project because it is a chance to really change how we live and use our space.  Here it begins as with all remodel projects - Demo!
