Fun places to ring in 2012......
Or here.....
Fun places to ring in 2012......
I have been on a quest for counter stools for our island. It is larger than the one in our old house, so I need 4. Here is what it looks like now.
I was determined to use what I had and not have to buy anything to dress up our dining room table for the holidays.
Here it was before
Another yummy Friday treat ....
I have been baking and mixing this week to have gifts ready to deliver to some friends and neighbors. Here is a glimpse into the past few days.
First the "sauce"
Last week I wrote about my desire for a barn door for our laundry room. You can read about it here. I really want oil rubbed bronze hardware, but it is so expensive. Lucky for me my sweet brother in-law owns a powder coating business in NC. Have you ever heard of powder coating? It is so cool - the finished is baked on. So, I bought some less expensive galvanized hardware at tractor supply. It looked like this
Who knew Collette's bathroom wall would turn out so cute.
I love a barn door. I think they are the coolest and had a great vibe to any house. You can see some examples of ones I have pinned here. We planned one putting on at the laundry/pantry area off the kitchen. Here is how it looks now. (From the kitchen)
The Christmas decorating continued, I think it is finally done....on to cards, shopping and remembering to enjoy the season. Here is our mantel. I did mercury glass votives with red and silver beads, some live greenery & of course stockings.
I am sure everyone has been busy decorating for the holiday. Here is a little glimpse into our weekend
It has been a while since I blogged! I took off the week of Thanksgiving and had a blast with my husband's sweet family. Then I had to head to NC because my dad was having surgery. So, I am home at last and happy to be getting caught up. I am excited to decorate for Christmas. We are going to get our tree tonight. I love it when there is a live tree in the house it smells wonderful and really makes the house cozy.
