One of my daily reads is Jessie at Mix and Chic. Her blog is fantastic. She has a great eye and always posts the most inspiring work. Just go check out her living room. You can also learn a little more about her by reading her 11 answers. She tagged me on Friday with 11 questions, so here we go Jessie
Her 11 questions to me:
1. What is your favorite room to decorate and why?
My favorite room to decorate are kids spaces or powder rooms. Kids are such risk takers and think out of the box. They usually are willing to give anything a go. Same with powder rooms. They are like small jewel boxes that you can be daring with.
2. What is your favorite decorating trend?
Orange! It is Pantone's color of the year (Tangerine Tango) and I absolutely love seeing it used. I also love the use of wood and reclaimed wood- always warm.
3. Which decorating trend you think is way overrated?
I don't know that it is overrated, but all the industrial look is getting a bit old to me. I think you can't go wrong just sticking with the classics, but giving them an unusual twist.
4. What is your biggest decorating pet peeve?
Budgets! ha ha I could get so much more done without one. :)
5. Averagely, how much time do you put into a blog post?
On average about 20 minutes. Depends on if I have to find or load pictures, etc. (This one is taking forever though) But, then I start reading my blog roll....click on other peoples blog rolls....way too much time
6. What have you learned/ gained from blogging?
To think outside the box. That there is usually and alternative. That there are so so many creative people in the world!
7. Who do you most admire in the blogging world and why?
Probably Jenny Komenda from Little Green Notebook. It is one of the first blogs I started reading when I discovered "design blog world" and it is usually the first one I read every day. She has such a fantastic sense of style. Her work is beautiful while still being practical.
8. What is the coolest opportunity that has come your way because of your blog?
I am not sure - I haven't even been blogging for a year yet. I guess it is all the feedback and support you get from readers.
9. Who is your favorite decorator and why?
10. What is a little-known fact about you that your readers would be surprised to learn?
I really do love NASCAR (I have referred to it in a few posts). I guess it is my North Carolina roots. It is such an exciting sport and comes with lots of eye candy!
11. What do you hope your blog will achieve in the long run? Please elaborate.

Thanks for tagging my, Laurie! I've been tagged so many times I figured I'd better participate. :) I'm working on my post for this week.
and I love your gold table transformation...and the orange barn door...gorgeous!!
Thanks for your participation, Laurie. I really love your answer to my fourth question. Having a budget has to be the biggest pet peeve for everyone, so funny yet so true! I also love the look of reclaimed wood, they add so much warmth and character to a space!
It is great to learn more about you!
Have a wonderful week!
