Happy Friday to all! It has been a crazy few months here at our home. We were busy pondering a big family decision and now I can share our news. We are moving "across the pond" (Atlantic Ocean) to England!
Sorry for the silence over here. I seem to have mostly recovered from my knee surgery last week and am ready to get back to blogging. So, tune in tomorrow for my exciting announcement......

The eye candy this week is a bit different......it is where I have been for a few days and the reason for the radio silence over here on my blog.
We spent a few days in Highlands, NC with very dear friends celebrating his 50th birthday. They treated us to an over the top trip that included hiking (10 miles!), get rubbed, scrubbed and massaged. Great food and lots of toasts to celebrate. Enjoy todays eye candy.....
Happy Friday! I think I have finally caught up on laundry and being gone. Looking forward to our first neighborhood happy hour tonight. The weather in Atlanta has been BEAUTIFUL! Hopefully I am heading to Scotts too :)
Thought I would continue my house tour with a view of the living room. It has french doors that open on to our big ol'front porch. I love the couch & chair they belonged to my grandparents. I had then reupholstered years ago but am thinking they would look good in a fun graphic pattern.....always pondering changes! There are still things to be done in here but it is working for now.
I wrote last week about taking part in a link up party to Spring into Action. You can read all about it here. I had chosen to strip and refinish my mid-century style coffee table. As you can guess by the title of this post I made zero! progress. Do I hate to admit it? Yes - but I had good reason. This kicked off last Thursday while I was landing in London, so I am ok with being a little behind on this challenge. So instead I will share a little taste of our London trip.
Trying to get back on schedule after a fun trip to London. Will post more later about the fun we had, but I have to get out from under all the laundry first! Here is a shot of the kids at the tower bridge.
There is nothing like having the pressure of twelve fabulous bloggers to get you moving on a project. Linda over at My Crafty Home Life invited me to her Spring Into Action party. It was just what I needed to get me moving on one of many projects around the house. So, here I am kicking it off with my project that should be completed by the end of April! Thanks Linda for getting me moving.
I am going to refinish this great coffee table that made its way from our basement to our family room when we got 2 new couches. I bought this years ago at Goodwill for a lake home we used to have. I love the modern lines and clean look, but am not digging the rustic painted finish. So I better get to stripping the paint......got a deadline to meet and peer blog pressure.
